From the moment you arrive you are treated with friendliness and efficiency. The position is terrific just behind the Sofia Palace in a quiet street and very close to the Blue Mosque, the Topkapi Palace and the tram lines. Rooms are comfortable and very well appointed and in a chaotic city like Istanbul, quiet. The decor and style of the hotel is elegant. The restaurant is in a lovely courtyard with excellent Turkish food - service is impeccable. Breakfast is in a pleasant position either in a sunfilled room or the courtyard. The thing that struck us was the way every member of the staff was pleasant to deal with but maintained high levels of professionalism and efficiency.
We would have no hesitation about recommending the Ottoman Imperial to friends and will stay there again when we are next in Istanbul
