The Wine region of Château de Bagnol

The Château de Bagnols dates back to the 18th century. From the beginnings of its existence, the Château de Bagnols has been the heart of a wine-growing land – land that has been vineyards for centuries: The Brouilly region.
This region is situated around the Brouilly Hill. With its 1280 ha, the Brouilly is the largest of the Beaujolais lands as it spreads over 20 % of the land. In fact, according to the past history of Saint Etienne la Varenne, the district containing the Château de Bagnols, is a site where the Romans had worked on these fields.
So the Château de Bagnols lies within the rolling hills of the stunning Beaujolais Region and offers luxury five-star accommodation amidst an historic setting. The 21 individually decorated bedrooms and suites have antique furniture and beautifully restored frescos, silent witnesses of the glorious past of this deluxe Château. The Michelin Starred restaurant serves gourmet cuisine in the majestic “Salle des Gardes” where history and fine dining go hand in hand.
