Cartier Celebrates Third Annual LOVE DAY

Rihanna (Grammy Award winning artist Rihanna who re-releases her album Good Girl Gone Bad Reloaded on Tuesday, June 17 & LOVE CHARITY Ambassador for her Believe Foundation)
Frédéric de Narp (President and CEO, Cartier North America)

In celebration of Cartier LOVE DAY on June 19th, Rihanna and Frédéric de Narp will host the lighting of the Empire State building in festive Cartier red. This day marks the debut of the newest LOVE CHARITY bracelet and 10% of all sales from the entire LOVE collection will benefit the partnered organizations on the 19th. The original Cartier LOVE bracelet launched in New York more than 30 years ago, and today remains one of the most recognized and celebrated symbols all over the world. Over the past two years, Cartier has donated more than $2.24 million to sixteen global charities from the sale of its LOVE CHARITY bracelets and expects to exceed $3 million this year.

As a global supporter of philanthropy and the arts, Cartier chose a music theme for this year's LOVE celebration. The new LOVE CHARITY bracelet will feature interlocking miniature LOVE bracelets in 18K rose gold and 18k white gold set into a knotted silk cord available in various colors, each designating support of a unique cause. The bracelet will be available for $995 in Cartier boutiques nationwide with $200 per bracelet benefiting its corresponding charity.
The new LOVE CHARITY ambassadors include Janet Jackson, Fergie, Good Charlotte, Eve, Common, Hilary Duff, Emmy Rossum and Ashanti. Rihanna joined the initiative last year and will continue to be part of the program. A playlist featuring each new ambassador's favorite love song will be available for free download at http://www.love.cartier.com/ on June 19th. New Yorkers can also check out DJ Sky Nellor spinning at the landmark Fifth Avenue Cartier Mansion on LOVE DAY.
