The names of the sister-vessels are drawn from the native Tahitian language, a Polynesian dialect. Whilst the word "Moana" is the universal Polynesian word meaning 'the sea', "Tu" and "Ti'a" both carry similar meanings 'to stand erect, to be upright or straight' and 'to fit, agree, answer the purpose'. Thus, each Cruise-Yacht's name literally means 'comfortably upright in the sea'.
The Cruise-Yachts sail in the calm lagoon waters surrounding Tahiti's leeward islands. Large enough to offer space, privacy and all the comforts one would expect of a larger ship, small enough to offer guests the feeling of private yacht freedom, personal attention, and access to lagoons and other areas where the big ships just can't visit.
