Deere & Company

Deere & Company is among six organizations chosen by Diversity Best Practices to receive the organization's 2008 award for diversity leadership.
"This is recognition for building diversity among our board of directors and supporting diversity throughout the company through initiatives like Team Enrichment and global employee network groups," said Deborah Taylor, director, global diversity & inclusion. "John Deere supports many diverse organizations globally through in-kind and financial contributions. We also have good supplier diversity and recruiting programs that are building diversity."
The award, which the group will present to Deere & Company chairman and CEO Bob Lane in November, recognizes companies and their leaders for establishing a culture of diversity and inclusion, and for their innovative responses to demographic shifts in the global workforce.
Other companies to be recognized are Procter & Gamble, Campbell Soup, Siemens Corporation, Prudential Financial, and AAA Northern California, Nevada & Utah.
"These companies and their CEOs are trailblazing diversity and inclusion role models," said Gwen Crider, executive director of Diversity Best Practices.
Diversity Best Practices is a membership organization of companies, government agencies and non-profit entities that seek to achieve cultural change.
