During an international press conference, Thomas Marschall of SOS Children's Villages worldwide and Heinz Krogner, Esprit's Chairman and Group CEO, announced their latest and up to now biggest cooperation: the construction of an SOS Children's Village in Alibaug, to the south of Mumbai, India. The lifestyle brand, which can reflect on four decades of humanitarian projects, wants to enable a promising future for children in India.
Esprit is the success story of a family business, which has meanwhile grown into an active and attractive global player. Nevertheless, Esprit has never forgotten its roots that focus on social actions and, in particular, the welfare of children and youths.
SOS Children's Villages has been a cooperation partner of Esprit for many years. In 2008, this partnership will enter a new dimension. "The Esprit partnership is characterised by a particularly serious and great commitment of the partner who wants to really make a difference with joint projects", explains Thomas Marschall, SOS Children's Villages worldwide. And Heinz Krogner, Esprit's Chairman and Group CEO, is also very pleased: "With this project, we can pass on the success of the Esprit brand in a way that makes sense and is fully in line with the Esprit philosophy".read more on www.esprit.com
